Megha Garg

Ms. Megha Garg has been working as a PhD scholar under the supervision of Dr. Vikram Gota at TMC-ACTREC since 2017. The primary focus of Ms. Garg’s research is to develop a model for chemotherapy dosing in malnourished pediatric oncology patients. For this purpose, metabolomics, proteomics, pharmacokinetics, and toxicology-based approaches are being utilized in murine models and clinical samples to understand the effect of different grades of malnutrition on pharmacokinetics, drug disposition, and toxicity of chemotherapy drugs. The use of this model to calculate chemotherapy dose is expected to improve treatment outcomes and reduce toxicity in malnourished pediatric oncology patients.
